September 9th event

23 09 2008

Yes I know this blog is WAY overdue but i’ve just been really swamped with school and everything so here is my review of the keynote.

The iPod nano

Now the nano was one of the highly expected changes this time around. The new design is amazing. It has a curved glass over the screen and a nice overall curved design. It’s alot slimmer than the 2nd gen nano, but a bit taller due to the widescreen. The nano now comes with a built-in accelerometer which is utilized when playing games such as Spore: Origins and when watching videos & movies. It is also utilized in the feature called shake to shuffle, which is as easy as it sounds. Just shake and it will shuffle randomly to the next song. I haven’t really been able to spend full hands on time with the nano yet but I have played with it in Best Buy and seen the shake to shuffle feature in person. I would say this would be the best iPod nano yet.

8GB is $149 and the 16GB is $199

iPod touch

No major changes here except for that it has a built in speaker and a curved back. Also some price drops. 8GB is $229, 16GB is $299, 32GB is $399.

iTunes 8 was announced but theres wayyy too much to say about that so i’ll save that for a later post. So thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my blog. Check back often for more Apple news and Don’t Forget, Get a Mac.
